#Autofeb

The winter goes on and on in the UK and by February we've all had enough. I was glad to be kept sane by taking part in #autofeb on Instagram...an idea of Victoria Bone and Fi Clark, inspired by the Surrealists' automatism method of art making. The suggestion is to create an automatic drawing every day of February. Automatic drawing meaning spontaneous, not having a result in mind, letting your subconscious run the show. I found it a wonderful way of letting go and being in a state of flow. It is surprising what comes out, you never know what is going to happen. It's a lovely way of loosening up and getting the creative juices going and it got me through a difficult month. You can see my creations here
