What Have You Done?

So this is Christmas, and what have you done? Another year over, and a new one just begun' sang John Lennon. I heard this today and it felt apt to pair it with an image I created tonight...

What have I done? Lots of creating - just getting on with it, as much as possible, anything and everything. Doing more sketching, automatic drawing, etc., has paid off. Tonight I got a piece of black card and a white pen and in just a few seconds drew this Christmas tree using just one line, straight off. I feel more confident in having a go, putting something down, making marks, not worrying about outcome. Trust the process...innit!
