Autumnal Blessings

Today I finally got out of my front door, after a week of awful stomach flu, and noticed lots of gorgeous colours in nature. Somehow I always forget how much I enjoy the colours and a different kind of light (as in the sun being lower and a different kind of glow) of September and October.
I was reminded of this image from Autumn 2017. It was created in response to a prompt. I think the daily challenge was called Creative Sprint and that day's prompt was something along the lines of - go out for a walk, collect things from nature and create something from your collection.
I remember having quite an elaborate idea in my mind, but then not having very much time to realise it. The lack of time turned out to be a good thing though, as it forced me to create without too much thought. This, I have found, is really good for me. It means I create from a more authentic place and I definitely feel I enjoy it more. It feels more grounded and flowing.
I'm glad of the reminder of this piece and my aim is to get out in nature and do some more creating.
