Waxing and Waning

July 2024 - full moon - it's a buck moon - known as such because this time of year is when the young bucks' new antlers grow the most.

Natures cycles, antlers growing, dying, regrowing. I feel part of that cycle a lot these days - the continual dying off, shedding, grieving, new growth, emerging, growing, starting again. Moving inwards, outwards and onwards...the never ending cycle.

The moon grows large, becomes full, becomes less and less, showing us the inevitable darkness, then growing again, bringing luminous light.

... I wax and wane, not always in sync with the moon but slowly, slowly I feel I'm starting to get back into sync with it and the rituals that go alongside. It will slide again. That is fine. That is life.

I did a quick drawing - biro on handmade paper.
